It works.
If you work.
As a therapist I know this to be true and can ensure a positive outcome in working with you if you are ready to work on yourself, face your struggles, meet your needs, and learn about your mental health and well-being. I do not believe individuals that I work with need to see a psychiatrist for medication and as a clinician, I will work towards helping you determine what is best for you.
MY BELIEF ON MEDICATIONS TO MANAGE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH:
I believe there is an art to psychiatry and therapy that requires a hand in hand relationship. I believe that not everyone needs to see a psychiatrist if they are seeing a therapist. However, if there is a need for clinical intervention wherein medication is necessary then it is integral to ensure an individual receiving psychotropic medication engages in a therapeutic intervention as well. The final component to treatment requires the client to engage in this collaborative understanding embracing help from each; psychiatrist and therapist.
50/50.
These 3 parts; psychiatrist, therapist and client have the capability to restore happiness, health and well-being.
