- Search for things you are grateful for. It’s the search that counts, similar to life is the journey not the destination.
- Label feelings. Instead of saying I feel blah, horrible, worried – give them a clinical name such as depressed or anxious.
- Make a decision and move in the direction of the decision you made. Similar to the 4th agreement of doing the best you can, cited from the most wonderful book by Don Miguel Ruiz.
- Be physical with others. Hug people as often as you can – up to 15x a day promotes good self esteem, hold hands, get a massage; reach out and touch someone.
